1. Souring Engineer
Job Description:
- According to customer requirements, collaborate with quality team to deliver high standard sourcing strategies and quality practices
- New supplier/product development including prototype, quotation, lead time, etc. Plan and execute supplier negotiations, cost reduction proposals to obtain best-in-class pricing, terms and conditions
- Approved negotiation/communication skills with suppliers as well as supplier relationship management
- Actively work together with cross-functional teams to leverage company spending to extract benefits for the company
- Liaison with the operation team to enable new products going smoothly into mass production and delivery stage, including setting up systems with right vendor/prices/product information, confirming final product, ensuring manufacturing capacity availability, as well as working with quality team to qualify factories if required
- Support operation process by working together with cross-functional teams to continuously improve operation efficiency
- Overall accountable for supplier's performance and development be on-time delivery, delivered quality, and positive support to request
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Packaging Engineering
- Over 5 years of sourcing/merchandising experience
- Knowledge of plastic packaging, cosmetic, etc.
- Communication and interpersonal - verbal skills, effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy and models behaviors to motivate the team
- Strategic thinking - ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives
- Technical - solid negotiation skills; similar product knowledge preferred
2. Mold Engineer
Job Description:
- Continuously improve the mold & molding process
- Ensure the molding parts quality
- To reduce the cost
- Increase mold capacity and efficiency, and share the experience to molding team
- Develop plastic mold construction optimization to reduce mold repair and maintenance effort and cost
- Mold drawing control & update
- Daily troubleshooting for mold and molding process
- Make the improvement plan and control the schedule
- Push the mold maintenance to reduce machine down time
- Work with mold subcontractor to track mold maintenance and repair lead time, quality and cost
- Work with mold subcontractor on mold continuous improvement activity
- Support sourcing team in the negotiation/nomination process
Requirements:
- Bachelor‘s degree or above in mold design or machine design field
- More than 5 years of working experience in mold design or mold improve field, including 1+ years of molding process experience
- Extensive experience in plastic mold and molding, insert molding as well
- Familiar with plastic packaging industry specification
- Be capable to use mold flow software to do simulation analysis
- Be skilled to use engineering software (Pro/E and CAD) to build up mold structure and layout
- Be skilled to use engineering software to build up secondary process equipment and tools, such as trimming machine and molds
- Good knowledge about machining, can provide a good solution between molding, die casting process and CNC machining process
- Good at mold trouble shooting
3. Project Engineer
Job Description:
- Manage the project information and give response to business team in the quotation stage. Give quotation description and notify quotation reservations on technology
- Improve the gross margin of products continuously in the framework of project work by examination and approval with the Production Department for production cost reduction
- Cooperate closely with all departments to ensure the conversion between knowledge and method
- Manage the project, achieve the minimum gross margin during the project implementation as required
- Communicate about the project result and project status
- Achieve the agreed project management target
Requirements:
- Technical qualification and good business comprehension, e.g. Bachelor of engineering in plastics technology or equivalent training, or years of work experience as a professional in the development design field
- Knowledge on electronic data processing (SAP, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook)
- Master the use of project management tools
- Acumen in technical feasibility during batch production
- Independent working mode based on the agreed target with project and customer as orientation
- Extroverted, with excellent communication skills as well as reliable, attractive and trustworthy manner
